| Reviewed in RUIS Magazine, Belgium 14 - MEI 2007 aanraken verandert spontaan in CHARLIE NOTHING My Cuntree Tits Of Me cd (Eigen Beheer) Wie Charles Martin Simon eind vorig jaar op het Pauzefestival aan het werk zag met zijn Dingalator (een gitaarachtig instrument, vervaardigd uit oude autoonderdelen) en zijn straatpoëzie, werd vast verliefd op de man. De nummers die hij er bracht, zijn opnieuw opgenomen en verzameld op deze “My Cuntree Tits Of Me”. Denk maar aan de gloednieuwe culthits “Steal a Meal”, “Fuck You and Your Stupid Wars”, “Eatin’ ain’t cheatin” en “A Pizza and a Piece of Ass”, vol van prachtige zinsnedes als “Not only is stealin’ not very nice/But you end up paying a higher price/Don’t steal!”, “Poop on politics/Piss on power... It don’t matter/that our leaders are insane/They're not our leaders anyway/That’s only a name” of “When a woman betrays a man/ Her ass belongs in a garbage can”. Zo gaat het een klein uur door, zonder een moment vervelend te worden. Al sinds de jaren zestig staat Charlie Nothing garant voor provocerende, humoristische, dan wel moraliserende outsider art in geschriften en liederen.
